stroud_ken_100

When the Planned Giving and Trust Services Representative visited Ken Stroud’s parents during his senior year in high school, he didn’t pay much attention. He closed his door, adjusted his Discman headphones and went back to studying for his physics test. Click here for the rest of Ken’s story.

ford_james_darlene_100

James and Darlene Ford celebrated their fifth anniversary with a romantic, candlelight dinner. Life had never been better. Marriage had its rough spots, but neither could imagine life without the other. They thanked God for giving them their new life together. A few days later, over a not-so-romantic frozen pizza, James and Darlene confronted the practical matters of matrimony: career planning, taxes and retirement savings. Click here for the rest of their story.

smith_ken_kathy

When kids came along for the Smiths, everything changed. Nights and days blurred into a procession of feedings, and a trail of toys turned every hallway into an obstacle course that would challenge a NASCAR driver. With two jobs and the kids to worry about, neither Ken nor Kathy had much time to think about the future. Click here for the rest of their story.

gaynor_bob_harriet_100

Bob and Harriet Gaynor* have been through a lot together. For years they worked side by side at a trucking company Bob owned, where Harriet served as receptionist. Both were widowed early, and Bob’s only son died in a traffic accident in 1961. But living with tragedy brought them closer to the Lord and to each other. They married in 1973.  Click here for the rest of their story.

Kim_John_Joan

John and Joan Kim* were five years into retirement - and living comfortably - when they realized they needed a new estate plan. Very soon, they would be required to start making withdrawals from their retirement plans, and more income would mean more tax liabilities. The Kims began asking some important questions: How could they preserve more of their assets? How could they create a tax- free legacy for their children? And how could they increase their support to the Adventist causes most important to them? Click here for the rest of their story.

terry_mildred 100

As a registered nurse, Mildred Terry devoted her life to caring for others. Throughout her career, Mildred reflected on the extraordinary freedoms of life in the United States. She felt truly blessed that her family had left Czechoslovakia before the devastation of wars and communist domination.
After Mildred retired, change rocked Eastern Europe. Secular and church publications reported promising news from the Czech Republic. Democracy was opening hearts and minds to God's Word. Mildred began to consider how her resources could further the Lord's work in her parents' homeland. Click here for the rest of her story.
